STARKVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) - Police in Starkville arrested a man accused of firing two gunshots at his sister at the Brookville Garden apartments.
The Starkville Daily News reports a detective testified in court Thursday that Jason Hemphill, 36, admitted to firing those shots.
Hemphill's sister was not hurt. It's not clear why the shots were fired.
The accused shooter is charged with aggravated assault. Municipal Judge Rodney Faver set bond at $5,000.
The newspaper reported in April 2017 Hemphill was arrested for shooting into an occupied dwelling and burglarizing a residence at the same apartment complex.
