TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) - You may have seen the commercials recently on television and on social media.
The ad has images of President Trump and Mississippi U.S. Senator Roger Wicker together, and it encourages people to call Washington to thank Wicker for supporting Trump's efforts to change the federal tax code.

The commercial, entitled "Strong Again-Mississippi," is being paid for by a group called the 45Committee, which is described by darkmoneywatch.org as a politically active nonprofit funded by the Ricketts family, which founded TDAmeritrade and owns the Chicago Cubs baseball team.
Having Trump and Wicker appear together repeatedly could help Mississippi's junior senator if he is challenged by state Senator Chris McDaniel of Jones County.
It's been widely reported that McDaniel could challenge Wicker in the GOP primary for the U.S. Senate next year, and McDaniel likely would be supported by Trump ally and former White House strategist Steve Bannon.
Bannon has publicly said he would target establishment Republicans like Wicker in future congressional elections.
Trump also supported McDaniel in his unsuccessful 2014 campaign in the GOP primary against U.S. Senator Thad Cochran.
Any decision by McDaniel on a campaign run would have to come soon. The primary is set for June 5.
