JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) - A man from Potts Camp faces charges in the investigation into alleged human trafficking in Mississippi.
Agents with the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI) arrested Demaris Edwards, 27, on Jan. 22.

According to MBI, agents were notified the day before about a 21-year-old woman who was possibly involved in a human trafficking operation.
The investigation led to Edwards’ arrest.
The Mississippi Department of Corrections wanted him on a warrant, and he also faces burglary and theft charges.
