WEST POINT, Miss. (WTVA) - Police continue to chase down leads in the shooting death of a man.
Clay County Coroner Alvin Carter Jr. identified the victim as Jamel Banks, 40, of West Point.
West Point Police Chief Avery Cook does not believe robbery to be a motive in the shooting. He said Banks was found with money in his pockets at the time of his death.
Banks was well known in the community because of his side business of washing cars, Cook said.
A reward of up to $2,500 is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the suspect of suspects, according to Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers.
