Police seek auto burglar in Pontotoc

Pontotoc police are asking for the public's help identifying the person responsible for auto burglary.

PONTOTOC, Miss. (WTVA) - Pontotoc police are asking for the public's help identifying the person responsible for auto burglary.

The burglary happened the night of Tuesday, June 19 in the parking lot of Sydnei's Grill on Highway 15 North. 

Police say a Cadillac car entered the parking lot of the restaurant sometime near 8:20 p.m.  

A man got out of the Cadillac. Police say he walked around several cars in the parking lot before entering one car, ultimately stealing money from inside the car. 

The man returned to the Cadillac and drove away, traveling south on Highway 15. 

The man is described as a black male, wearing a white T-shirt, green shorts with a white strip. He was wearing a backwards cap and tennis shoes.
