TUPELO, Miss (WTVA) -- A chase in Tupelo ends with one person taken into custody.
Tupelo Deputy Chief Jackie Clayton said around 2:50 p.m. Monday, March 8, police tried to stop a car on South Veterans Boulevard.
Clayton said an officer recognized the car because it had been involved in a chase last week that ended without an arrest because of speed and traffic safety issues.
Again, the driver of the car refused to stop.
This time officers chased the driver east out of Tupelo into east Lee County.
Clayton said the driver of the car eventually lost control and officers were able to arrest the person.
The driver was taken to North Mississippi Medical Center for injures.
Police later identified the suspect as Miranda McMillen. Police detectives charged her with felony fleeing.
