Police have released more information about the Friday night shooting at The Lyric in downtown Oxford that injured one person.

OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) - Police have released more information about the Friday night shooting at The Lyric in downtown Oxford that injured one person.

Officers say it was during a fight that someone fired a shot into the air inside the concert hall before 10 p.m.

No one was wounded by the gunfire.  One person was hurt by broken glass as people were running.

The venue was holding an event advertised as the Shoot Your Shot Jersey Party that opened to the public at 9 p.m.

So far, an arrest has not been made. However, police did release an image of someone wearing a white jersey described as a person of interest in the case who is being sought.

The shooting comes on the weekend of the annual Double Decker Festival.

Police ask that anyone with information about the shooting call them at 662-232-2400 or Crime Stoppers at 662-234-8477.
