Oxford police respond to 'shots fired' call at store

No one was injured as gun shots reportedly rang out at an Oxford gas station Thursday.

OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) - No one was injured as gun shots reportedly rang out at an Oxford gas station Thursday.

At approximately 4 p.m., Oxford police received a call of "shots fired" from the Chevron store located at 725 Molly Barr Road.

"It was reported that two males were fighting and shots were fired as they left the area," police stated.

Officers were able to locate and take a suspect into custody, as well as the weapon. Police say the victim was not injured.

"This is an ongoing investigation and more information will be released as it becomes available," police stated.
