OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) – Oxford crews were able to repair a damaged water main.
The City of Oxford said the main is near Sisk Avenue. Homes and businesses in the Sisk Avenue area were temporarily without water until repairs were complete.
Those repairs have been made. The water is back on.
The city informs those affected they may experience brown water or air in the water lines once water is restored.
“It is recommended to turn on an outside faucet or the cold water in the bathtub and allow the water to run for a few minutes until the problem is resolved,” the city stated.
