Oxford Utilities issues scam warning to businesses

According to the City of Oxford, scammers are calling businesses in an attempt to get money.

OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) - Scammers are calling Oxford businesses and demanding money over the phone, according to the City of Oxford.

Oxford Utilities shared the information Wednesday afternoon on its social media accounts.

SCAM ALERT! Just received notice from one of our commercial customers that scammers are calling Oxford businesses and demanding payment over the phone. If you receive a suspicious call, hang up and call our office: (662) 232-2373 for your account status.
