OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) -- A long-time educator in the Oxford School District has been selected to serve at the next school superintendent.
Wednesday night, The Board of Trustees announced Bradley Roberson, a twenty year employee of the district, to the position.
Roberson served the last three years as the Assistant Superintendent and Director of Curriculum and Instruction for the past three years.
He also spent time as the principal at Oxford High School where graduation rates increased above 90% and the school acheived its highest accountability point total since the model was established.
Roberson was selected from a pool of candidates screened and interviewed in recent weeks.
He will officially begin his new role on July 1, 2021.
He succeeds Brian Harvey, who announced his plans to retire in November.
