CORINTH, Miss. (WTVA) - Nail salons are one of the establishments allowed to open under Gov. Tate Reeves' new Safer-at-Home order.
One local nail technician said business is booming.
Taylor McDonald, the owner and a nail technician at Polish Salon in Corinth, said she was devastated when she had to close her doors in March.
"I never knew how much I loved this industry until it was taken away from me for two months," said McDonald.
Polish Salon reopened on Monday, but for customers, a trip to the salon is completely different than before.
"We used to could work on two people at a time per technician and know we can only have one at a time," said McDonald.
Customers and technicians have to wear masks. Customers must wait outside before their appointment.
Technicians must also wear gloves when they work on a customer and disinfect after a customer leaves.
McDonald said they are working longer hours at the salon to make sure they see all their clients.
However, she is just happy to see her customers again.
