This comes after a 4-8 record in 2019, including a 21-20 loss in the Egg Bowl on Thanksgiving night.
Luke was named interim head coach following the July 2017 resignation of former head coach Hugh Freeze.
The interim title was later removed.
WTVA spoke with freshman quarterback John Rhys Plumlee about the decision.
