STARKVILLE, Miss. (WTVA)- Oktibbeha County crews are working to repair washed-out culverts and roads from this week's flash flooding.
Road crews worked Wednesday to repair the roads and culverts throughout the day.
Fred Hal Baggett, Oktibbeha County's road manager, said roads like Blackjack Road, Hickory Grove Road, Pike Street, and Spruill Street also were damaged or flooded in the flash flooding.
Baggett said he rarely sees culverts completely washed out.
"Very seldom does a culvert washout," he said. "It might become plugged where it can't flow through, but actually washing out and flowing down the channel, that seldom happens but we've had a lot of rain."
Baggett is asking for patience as crews work to repair all of the damages.
