No injuries in New Albany house fire

The fire happened Monday morning on South Central Avenue.

NEW ALBANY, Miss. (WTVA) – No one was home at the time of a house fire in New Albany.

Firefighters received the call at approximately 7:55 a.m. Monday. They responded to a house on South Central Avenue.

Eight people lived in the house, including five children. However, no one was there at the time.

The house is considered a loss.

The official cause of the fire is being investigated. However, no foul play is suspected.

Last Thursday, firefighters responded to the same house for a report of smoke. The homeowner says that report was for a smoking wall socket.
