MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) - Ten people were arrested earlier this week in Monroe County and officers believe one man is the ring leader.
Donny Johnson, 67, was charged with trafficking a controlled substance. The other nine people were charged with possession of a controlled substance.
They were arrested during a drug roundup on Highway 371 in Amory.
Johnson was out of jail on two bonds for intent to sell. His new bond was set at $20,000.
"He's definitely trafficking drugs in our county," said Monroe County Sheriff Cecil Cantrell. "Evidently, he's not going to quit. He hadn't learned anything with the other two charges."
Cantrell says Johnson has been arrested so many times back-to-back that officers hadn't had time to indict him.
The sheriff says the district attorney is planning to revoke Johnson's bond if he attempts to get out of jail.
