National Signing Day - February coverage

TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) - Student-athletes will sign their National Letter of Intents Wednesday as part of National Signing Day.

Many athletes signed in December's signing day. The remaining will sign Wednesday to round out recruiting classes for colleges and universities.

WTVA sports reporters Erin Wilson and Matt St. Jean are currently on the road getting highlights of local signings.

They will show those highlights and interviews in this evening's newscasts.

The signees listed below are football players unless otherwise noted.

Amory High School

  • Alex Chilcoat signed with Millsaps College.
  • Jacob Cox signed with Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.
  • Jazavion Ezell signed with Itawamba Community College. 
  • Pete Moore signed with Missouri Western State University.

Mooreville High School

  • Kha'sen Mitchell signed with Copiah-Lincoln Community College.

Oxford High School

  • Both Clay Cromwell and John Meagher signed with the U.S. Naval Academy.
  • Both Javian Gipson-Holmes and Scott Norphlet signed with Northeast Mississippi Community College.
  • Byron Pearson, Rontavious Person, and Kiyon Williams signed with Northwest Mississippi Community College.
  • Basketball - Kylan Blackmon signed with Northeast Mississippi Community College.
  • Basketball - Cayla Toles signed with Itawamba Community College.

Tupelo High School

  • Both Trip Wilson and Hayes Hammond signed with MSU.
  • Both Ryan Hampton and Jaycob Horn signed with Texas State University.

Starkville High School

  • Josh Aka signed with East Mississippi Community College.
  • Tevontae Bond signed with Holmes Community College.
