PLANTERSVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) - Law enforcement surrendered a child to Protective Services following the drug arrests of two women in Lee County.
Assisting a state agency Tuesday, the Lee County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant at a home in Plantersville.

According to the sheriff’s department, officers found illegal narcotics and a young child there.
Investigators said the child had been in and around the use of narcotics and could have easily accessed the drugs.
Officers detained and arrested the child’s mother, 27-year-old Kayla Craig and Donna Jaggers, 48, both of Plantersville.
Lee County investigators charged Craig with possession of methamphetamine and felony child abuse. Jaggers also faces a charge of possession of methamphetamine.
