NORTHPORT, Ala. (WTVA) - The National Transportation Safety Board says fuel pumps failed and resulted in a plane crash, killing six Oxford residents in August 2016.
The crash happened on August 14 in Northport, Alabama.
The following people were killed as a result:
- Dr. Jason Farese
- Dr. Lea Farese
- Dr. Austin Poole
- Angie Poole
- Dr. Michael Perry
- Kim Perry
While in route, the second fuel pump failed and both engines stopped. The plane crashed about 1,600 feet from the runway.
An investigation showed corrosion in the right engine fuel pump and the emergency fuel pump.
