WEST POINT, Miss. (WTVA) -- North Mississippi Medical Center is giving away free masks to anyone in need in West Point.
“The first two hours we gave out over 2000,” said administrator Barry Keel.
North Mississippi Medical Center administrator Barry Keel said this is in response to the mayors mask order in West Point.
“We wanted to make sure that anyone who wanted to have a mask and needed to have a mask and maybe didn’t have access to get one they could come here and receive one free of cost,” said Keel.
He said masks will continue to be free to the public at the wellness center in West Point until they run out.
“It’ll be available 10 am – 3 pm Monday through Friday,” said Keel.
Before receiving every one who enters the building is screened and asked to sanitize their hands.
