Multi-agency operation results in arrest of Nettleton man

Multiple law enforcement agencies from Lee and Monroe counties worked together to arrest a Nettleton man.

NETTLETON, Miss. (WTVA) - An on-going narcotics operation involving law enforcement agencies from Lee and Monroe counties resulted in the arrest of a Nettleton man.

According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Department, the two law enforcement agencies and the North Mississippi Narcotics Unit used a search warrant Wednesday at the home of Sammy Ray on Causey Road in Nettleton.

Agents seized 1.1 ounces of methamphetamine, 26 grams of marijuana, five guns and $6,376 in U.S. currency. They also recovered a motorcycle that had been stolen in Arkansas.

Lee County investigators charged Ray, 55, with possession of methamphetamine, possession of a firearm by a felon, and possession of stolen property.

They also arrested him on a warrant from the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
