JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) - The Mississippi State Department of Health reported 696 new cases of the coronavirus and 10 new deaths Thursday.
The agency updates its case totals each day based on test results from the previous day.
Of the new deaths, four of them happened locally. One death each occurred in Clay, Lee, Marshall and Prentiss counties.
The overall totals with the new cases are 98,886 cases and 2,979 deaths statewide since the pandemic began in March.
