JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — The Mississippi Department of Corrections has announced the deaths of two inmates.
One of them — 72-year-old Charles William Morris — will be buried at Central Mississippi Correctional Facility because the department could not find his relatives.
The department said Friday that Morris died Sept. 14 in a Jackson hospital.
He was serving life plus 25 years for murder and rape convictions. He was sentenced in 2002 in Harrison County.
The department said 66-year-old Danny Kaye Watts died Thursday at the Parchman prison hospital.
He was sentenced in 2008 in Pike County for unlawful touching and sexual battery of a child.
