JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) - The state's highest court has refused to reconsider a death penalty appeal in relation to an Itawamba County capital murder case.
The Mississippi Supreme Court made the decision on Thursday, March 7.
Thomas Edwin Loden argued that midazolam was not an appropriate anesthetic and should not be used with the three-drug cocktail.
The high court said Loden did not give any argument of one expert.
He is on death row for the kidnap, rape and killing of Leesa Gray in June 2000.
