NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVA) -- Mississippi State survived a second half comeback to pull out a one point win over Kentucky in the second round of the SEC Men's Basketball Tournament.
The Bulldogs lead 44 to 30 at halftime, but the Wildcats clawed their way back and took a five point lead.
Mississippi State rallied and took a 74 to 73 lead with second left. Kentucky missed a three point attempt at the buzzer for the winner.
Iverson Molinar scored 21 points to lead Mississippi State. Tolu Smith scred 13 points and grabbed 11 rebounds and Abdul Ado scored 12 and added 9 rebounds in the win.
Mississippi State (15-13) advances to the next round to face the top-seeded Alabama Crimson Tide.
The game is tomorrow at 11 a.m. at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
