COUNCE, Tenn. (WTVA) - Over a billion dollars is at stake in this week's lottery drawings.
Wednesday's Powerball drawing is for $345 million, and Friday's Mega Millions drawing is for $900 million dollars.
Many from Mississippi drove across the state line to Sportsman One Stop for a chance to win.
Although a state lottery has been approved in Mississippi, it could be two years before it is up and running.
"I'm excited about that," said Jimmy Greshan, a Tishomingo resident. "I wouldn't have to make the drive all the way up here and get my ticket."
Odds say you have a greater chance of being in a shark attack then hitting the lottery.
But for those taking a chance, we asked what would you do with that much money?
"Hopefully buy me a new car and some more lottery tickets," added Greshan.
"None of my family would have to worry about any debt," said Josh McCoy.
