MANTACHIE, Miss. (WTVA) - People in Mantachie and some with the Cason Water Association are being told to boil their water.

Town officials say the alert there is because a 12-inch main water line washed out in a creek, causing a loss in water pressure.

The alert for Cason Water only applies to those on Enon Church Road, and it came about because of a water line repair.

People affected by the alert are being advised to boil the water for one minute before using it.

The alert will be lifted when state testing determines the water is safe.
