BRUCE, Miss. (WTVA)—One man is using his artwork to cope with his wife’s stage four cancer diagnosis.
Timmy Mills said he began drawing when he was a teenager.

He stopped until his wife was diagnosed with stomach cancer two years ago.
“I just picked up a pencil. I haven’t drawn in years and I needed something just to get through,” said Mills.
With the extra time on his hands, Mills began drawing portraits of people, dogs and just about anything.
While his wife went through chemotherapy, Mills sold his artwork on Facebook.
He said he appreciates the overwhelming support of the community.
“Everybody in Bruce supports me and what I’m doing. I have so many wonderful people around here supporting me,” he said.
Mills said one day he hopes to open an art studio on Bruce square.
