Man released on bond in BancorpSouth Arena shooting

Steven Hulbert was released on a $100,000 bond following the October 27 shooting outside the BancorpSouth Arena.

TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- The man arrested following a shooting incident following the Jason Aldean concert in Tupelo Friday night is free on bond.

The Lee County jail docket shows Steven Hulbert, 22, of Walls, was released over the weekend on a $100,000 bond.

An initial appearance on the charges was held over the weekend.

Hulbert is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon following the shooting incident at the BancorpSouth Arena Friday night.

The shooting happened after an apparent argument in the parking lot.

One person was shot in the chest but has been treated and released from the hospital.

Multiple shots were fired during the incident.

Hulbert was arrested before leaving the parking lot by Tupelo police in the area because of heightened security because of the soldout concert.

Concert goers inside the arena were kept indoors until the scene was secure.
