Man hospitalized after Verona shooting

According to an emergency responder, a 23-year-old man was shot through both thighs.

VERONA, Miss. (WTVA) - According to an emergency responder, a 23-year-old man was shot through both thighs on Sunday.

The emergency responder said the gunman attempted to rob the victim at a local Verona car wash.

The victim ran to the Dollar General on Raymond Avenue where he collapsed in front of the door.

Verona Police officers, firefighters and paramedics responded to the shooting.

The victim was transported to the hospital in Tupelo.
