AMORY, Miss. (WTVA) -- A man arrested in connection with a deadly wreck last month in Monroe County is in jail charged with manslaughter.
Sheriff Kevin Crook said investigators tracked Eric Patton, 30, to Louisiana with the help of Lowndes County and Natchez law enforcement.

The sheriff said Patton was driving down Highway 45 near the river bridge in Aberdeen on October 25.
Crook said deputies had a checkpoint set up and Patton drove across the median to avoid officers.
He said Patton traveled in the wrong direction at a high rate of speed before the accident happened inside the Aberdeen city limits.
Crook said Marqueze Lawston, 22, of Starkville died in the accident.
The sheriff said the driver of the car Lawston was a passenger in remains hospitalized.
Patton made an appearance in Monroe County Justice Court where Judge Sarah Cline Stevens set bond at $1 million.
Crook said the Mississippi Highway Patrol is also looking into the accident and more charges are expected.
