IUKA, Miss. (WTVA) - A man died Friday night when his car went off the road and crashed in the woods west of Iuka.

Brett Hinton Finch, 46, of Iuka, was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Camaro west on County Road 231 when the car left the road in a curve approximately a half-mile east of County Road 982.

Tishomingo County Coroner Mack Wilemon says the car flew through the air and knocked down several trees before it came to a stop upside down in the woods.  Some people in a nearby home heard the wreck and called for help.

Finch died at the site of the accident.  He was the only one in the car.
