HOLLY SPRINGS, Miss. (WTVA) - After a Christmas Day shooting in Holly Springs, one man has been arrested and charged.
Holly Springs police say 40-year-old Carl Anthony Nunnally was taken into custody in connection to an investigation of a shooting that occurred at the intersection of Memphis Street and Van Dorn Avenue.
"It’s coming down from Memphis," said resident Frederick Prowell. "The drugs, the robberies, the shootings. I guess we may as well get used to it and get ready for it.”
This is only the second reported shooting in 2018, according to Police Chief Dwight Harris.
Harris tells WTVA the suspect was at a red light next to the victim's car when multiple shots were fired. No one was reported injured.
According to authorities the suspect and victim know each other, but a motive has not been determined.
Nunnally is charged with attempted murder and his bond was set at $100,000. He is set to have an arraignment Thursday morning.
