NEW ALBANY, Miss. (WTVA) - A man appeared in court Monday following his arrest in the fatal shooting of his stepfather over the weekend in Union County.
Larry Walker was formally charged with first-degree murder during his initial appearance in New Albany.
He is also charged with child endangerment because a 9-year-old boy was present when the shooting happened Saturday night in Walker's front yard in Ingomar.
A judge set bond for Walker at $1.25 million.
In a separate court appearance, Nicole Vanvranken was charged with accessory after the fact.
Her bond was set at $46,000.
