JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) - State prosecutors say a man from Corinth forged a judge's signature on a document to end his parental rights so he would no longer have to pay child support.
Jabari Toins, 38, was arrested Friday and is charged with filing a false document with a state agency.
The Mississippi attorney general's office also charged Toins with wire fraud because the state says he faxed that document with the forged signature to the Mississippi Department of Human Services in Jackson.
A conviction on both charges could get him up to 15 years in prison.
