TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) - Malco Theatres reopened some locations Monday, including the location in Tupelo, following months of being closed because of the coronavirus pandemic.
As moviegoers walk into the Tupelo theater, they will see hand sanitizer stations and all employees wear masks.
"It's spotless clean," Sera Hall of Tupelo said.
She went with her two kids and mother to see the latest “Trolls” movie. She was surprised to see how clean the theater was and all the differences to ensure social distancing.
"The Malco did a good job of making sure everything was clean; everyone was comfortable, everyone wore masks."
Hall said she and her family were the only people in the theater for their movie, and when they walked into the movie, an employee was cleaning each seat.
She was happy to get out of the house and enjoy some time with her kids.
Not all Malco theaters reopened Monday, including locations in Columbus and Corinth. More locations will reopen each week through July 16.
