JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) - The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) reported 392 new COVID-19 cases and 7 new deaths Friday, March 19.
New COVID-19 related deaths reported to MSDH as of 3 p.m. Thursday. Two deaths occurred between March 17 and March 18 in the counties below:
- Simpson 1
- Warren 1
Five deaths occurred between Feb. 3 and March 8, identified from death certificate reports.
- Harrison 1
- Holmes 1
- Marshall 1
- Neshoba 1
- Sunflower 1
As of Friday, March 19, 2021, there have been 302,316 total cases of the virus since mid-March 2020, which is when the state reported its first case. There have been 6,945 total deaths.
The state health department estimates there have been 287,341 recoveries.
