JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) - The state health department reported 302 new cases of the coronavirus and 15 new deaths Wednesday, June 3.
The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) updates its case totals each morning based on test results from the previous day.

New coronavirus-related deaths reported to MSDH as of 6 p.m. Tuesday:
- Adams - 1
- Claiborne - 3
- Holmes - 2
- Jackson - 1
- Jones - 1
- Leflore - 2
- Madison - 2
- Neshoba - 2
- Wayne – 1
As of Wednesday, June 3, MSDH estimates 11,203 people have recovered from the virus.
Since mid-March, when the state reported its first case of the virus, MSDH has reported 16,322 total cases and
782 total deaths.

MSDH stated Tuesday it would release the names of long-term care (LTC) facilities that have COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreaks beginning Wednesday.

At the time of publication, MSDH had not posted those names on its website yet.
According to Wednesday's report, there are currently 126 outbreaks in LTC facilities.
Nursing homes and assisted living homes are examples of LTC facilities. Residents of LTC facilities are often at a higher risk of having complications with the virus.
