JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) - The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) reported 1,322 new COVID-19 cases and 12 new deaths Thursday, Oct. 15.
MSDH updates its case totals each morning based on test results from the previous day.
New COVID-19 related deaths reported to MSDH as of 6 p.m. Wednesday. Eleven deaths occurred between October 3 and October 14 in the counties below.

As of Thursday, Oct. 15, there have been 108,139 total cases of the virus since mid-March, which is when the state reported its first case. There have been 3,152 total deaths.
The state health department estimates there have been 94,165 recoveries. The MSDH usually updates its estimated recoveries total once a week.
