JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) - The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) reports 10 more people died from the coronavirus in its latest numbers released Tuesday morning.
The state health agency now reports 239 deaths since March 11.
The total number of cases grew by 248 to 6,342.
MSDH says 721 cases were reported in long-term care facilities.
The new numbers show a slight increase just one day after state leaders say the number of cases seemed to be trending downward.
Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves has a news conference scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Tuesday to provide the latest updates.
