UPDATE: Chickasaw highway back open after accident

Troopers urge drivers to use caution and find an alternate route.

The highway is back open.

Chickasaw County Sheriff Jim Meyers says the accident involved two 18-wheelers and a van. The woman driving the van was taken to the hospital, but her injuries are said to be not serious.

CHICKASAW COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) - A Chickasaw County highway is shut down due to a traffic accident.

According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the accident is on Highway 8, approximately 1.5 miles east of the Natchez Trace.

Troopers urge drivers to use caution and find an alternate route.
