PEARL, Miss. (WTVA) – The forecast is looking good for Santa Claus as he moves throughout Mississippi this Christmas.

The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency says it will be ready to assist the big man as he moves through the Magnolia State.

“The forecast is looking good with child temperatures, mostly clear skies and no rain across the state,” stated MEMA.

MEMA Executive Director Lee Smithson assures the children of Mississippi that Santa and the reindeer will have smooth sailing.

The agency provides the following tips to remember for Christmas Eve:

  • Children MUST go to bed early.
  • Make sure rooftops are clear for Santa and the reindeer to land.
  • A glass of low-fat milk and a plate of cookies should be placed near the Christmas tree.

Have a Merry Christmas, everyone.
