JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) - The presidents of the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges (MACC) voted Friday to delay the start of the 2020 football season to Oct. 1.
The upcoming season will consist of a six-game regular season with divisional play only and will conclude with a playoff.
With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, athletic events are being pushed back from their originally-scheduled start dates.
Similar to MACC, the Mississippi High School Athletics Association (MHSAA) recently voted to delay the start of the upcoming high school football season.
