COLUMBUS, Miss. (WTVA) - Lowndes County leaders will reopen community centers after they shut the centers down due to the pandemic.
The Board of Supervisors voted Monday morning to reopen the centers.
There are eight locations throughout the county where people can go for recreational activities.
District 5 Supervisor Leroy Brooks believes the reopening is good as long as people practice social distancing and wear masks.
Anyone who does not wear a mask will not be penalized.
Supervisors also voted Monday to enforce a mask mandate for county-owned buildings.
