ACKERMAN, Miss (WTVA)- Megan Snow, a PRN nurse at Choctaw Regional Medical Center is going to help on the front line in New York City.
Megan's husband, Gabe Snow, didn't take her completely seriously when she first mentioned going to New York.
After completing the online certification, Megan contacted Krutial Staffing. That is the company that she reached out to get the opportunity to help in NYC.
Megan will be working at the Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn. This hospital has 375 beds and is completely full. Only 5 patients there are not COVID-19 patients.
Gabe said he is usually the calm one out of the two, but he has been more worried for her.
"When we left the house yesterday to go to the airport, before we started talking, she just said, 'I'm at peace about this.'"
While in New York, Megan will be working 21 days straight, with each shift lasting at least 12 hours.
