TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) - Do you have questions about booster shots? You're not alone.
NMMC Medical Director and Family Physician Dr. Erik Dukes said people are asking about getting a booster shot almost everyday.
“Booster shots are readily available. I have that question many times a week," said Dukes.
If you're 65 and older or immunocompromised, you can get a booster shot at any North Mississippi Health Services Clinic.
Dukes said the hospital system also offers boosters at the old health-works building. He advised patients to schedule a booster appointment beforehand, but said walk-ins are also okay.
If you are eligible, you should wait at least 6 months after being fully vaccinated to get the shot.
