COLUMBUS, Miss. (WTVA) - Brooks Eye Center in Columbus donated 15 new Oakley protective glasses to the Lowndes County S.W.A.T. team.
These are ballistic glasses that deputies will wear while conducting search warrants and other activities.
James Brooks is the head doctor at Brooks Eye Center and he said this donation was a way to show their appreciation to those who serve.
“Well we just want to say thank you for all they do for the community because I know a lot of times all their hard work goes unnoticed," said Brooks. "We want to be sure that we make them feel like they’re really needed and welcomed here in this community.”
Brooks said these glasses are very high quality and will keep users safe with sharper and clearer vision.
