TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) - A Plantersville man surrendered himself to Lee County investigators on allegations of sexual battery.
According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Department, Child Protective Services (CPS) notified the sheriff’s department on May 22 about allegations of sexual battery against Martin Morgan.
Investigators and deputies, along with a CPS employee, went to Morgan’s home the same day. They spoke with Morgan and four children who were there.
While investigators were there, the children were sent to stay with relatives on a safety plan, according to the sheriff’s department.
Warrants were issued for Morgan on three counts of sexual battery, and he voluntarily surrendered himself on Wednesday, July 8 at the sheriff’s department in Tupelo.
