Large Power Outage in Corinth, MS

A large area is without power due to a transformer blowing.

UPDATE 10:30 p.m.
Power was out over most of the city of Corinth Saturday. Alcorn County Electric Power confirms it was caused by two blown out

transformers. The power company was able to restore power in a little under two hours.

CORINTH, Miss (WTVA) -- A large area is without power due to a transformer blowing. Police Cheif Ralph Dance cornfirms this outage

for much of the Corinth area. Alcorn County Electric Power says they are receiving a high volume of calls and are aware of the outage

and hope to fix the issue as soon as possible.
