Lafayette County shooting suspect believed to be armed and dangerous

Investigators are trying to find a man in connection with a shooting that happened during the weekend.

ABBEVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) - Lafayette County investigators are trying to locate a man who is wanted in connection to a weekend shooting.

Timothes Stanford, 49, is wanted for aggravated assault.

According to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department, the shooting happened late Saturday night or early Sunday morning in the area of Abbeville and County Road 106.

The sheriff’s department did not identify the shooting victim nor the victim’s current condition.

Stanford is believed to be armed and dangerous. He was last seen in a maroon, 1998 Dodge extended cab pickup truck with license plate: LX1 0873.

Anyone who sees him should contact a local law enforcement agency or the Lafayette County Crime Stoppers at 662-234-8477.
